Innovative Pathology Concepts was founded by pathology professionals who believe that the people performing the work often have the best ideas for improving it.

After more than two decades as practicing Pathologists’ Assistants, we encountered countless situations where existing products did not fully address the realities of the pathology laboratory and autopsy suite. Like many professionals, we searched for solutions. When those solutions didn’t exist, we began creating them ourselves.

What started with a need for a focused, high-intensity light during brain removals in autopsy procedures led to the development of our Illum-a-Field product line. Other innovations followed, including specialized instruments and consumables designed to improve efficiency, specimen handling, and workflow.

Today, Innovative Pathology Concepts combines more than 100 years of collective experience as Pathologists’ Assistants and Histotechnologists. Every product we manufacture, specify, or distribute is evaluated through the lens of real laboratory experience. We understand the challenges because we have faced them ourselves.

Our mission remains the same: to develop practical solutions that make pathology professionals more effective, more efficient, and better equipped to serve their patients and institutions.
